Home2bit Cancellation & Refund Policy
Permanent link to this version1. Scope
This policy concerns digital development, website setup and managed services supplied by HOME2BIT IT SOLUTIONS INC. (“Home2bit”). It should be read with your agreed quotation or service order and the Home2bit Terms & Conditions. It is not a physical-goods return policy.
Your customers' purchases from your business are governed by your own applicable policies and legal obligations. You remain their merchant of record. Home2bit does not hold or administer refunds of your merchant sales proceeds.
2. Payments and the basis of review
Setup and the first three months of management are prepaid. Management begins at actual Go-live, not at publication of a temporary demo. Setup work and management are separate parts of the service and are considered separately when reviewing a cancellation.
Refunds follow the stages below. Before setup or development starts, the payment is refunded in full. After work starts, setup-payment deductions are limited to the reasonably evidenced value of completed setup/development work and customer-approved nonrecoverable third-party costs. Prepaid management is handled separately under sections 6 and 7. We do not treat every setup payment as non-refundable, and cancellation does not itself create a fixed cancellation charge. Mandatory rights remain protected.
3. Before work begins
After customer confirmation or payment, if no setup or development work has started, we refund 100% of the payment when you cancel. This includes the setup payment and any prepaid Managed Service fees.
We will confirm whether setup or development has actually begun using the work records. Payment, an inquiry status marked accepted or a demo scheduled for a later date does not by itself mean that setup or development has started. The full-refund rule in this section is distinct from the deductions that apply after work starts.
4. After setup or development begins
If you cancel after setup or development starts but before Go-live, we deduct the reasonably evidenced value of completed setup/development work and customer-approved nonrecoverable third-party costs from the setup payments, and refund the unused balance. We identify the work completed, relevant approvals, payments received and qualifying costs in the reconciliation and do not charge twice for the same item.
Completed-work value must be supported by the agreed scope and reasonable evidence, rather than the project-stage label alone. Unperformed work is not treated as completed work. Prepaid Managed Service fees are refunded 100% before Go-live under section 6 and are not used to reduce that full management-fee refund by offsetting setup deductions. Mandatory remedies for defective or undelivered services remain available under section 9.
5. Customer non-response and On Hold
A project may be placed On Hold when essential materials, instructions or approval have not been provided. This does not automatically cancel the project or forfeit all payments. Management that has not begun is not consumed while the project awaits its first Go-live.
Contact us to resume or to request cancellation. We will confirm the remaining work and any proposed revised arrangements. A prolonged period without a response does not, by itself, establish an agreed cancellation fee, a refund decision or authority to delete customer data.
6. Before Go-live
Approval of a demo and actual Go-live are separate events. If Go-live has not occurred, cancellation receives a 100% refund of prepaid Managed Service fees, including cancellation at the Demo stage. Preparing or approving a demo does not consume any of that management period.
Setup payments remain separate: section 3 applies if work has not started, and section 4 applies after work starts. The value of completed setup work does not turn unstarted management into a delivered service or reduce the 100% management-fee refund.
7. After Go-live and unused prepaid management
After Go-live, we refund the unused portion of prepaid Managed Service fees after deducting the management period actually provided. The reconciliation identifies the commencement date, effective termination date, period provided and calculation of the unused balance. Completed setup/development charges are separate from that management-fee balance.
For example, if PHP 15,000 was prepaid for three months at PHP 5,000 per month and one full month of management was provided, PHP 10,000 is refundable. This example concerns full months and does not establish a partial-month proration method.
We will explain the period and calculation used rather than apply an undisclosed cancellation percentage or charge. A dispute over the calculation does not change the principle that unused prepaid management is refundable. Section 9 preserves remedies for defective or undelivered services, and section 10 explains how to request review.
8. Customer-approved third-party costs
Domain registrations, paid integrations and other external services may involve third-party costs. Where a deduction is permitted after work starts under this policy, it must concern a customer-approved nonrecoverable cost and identify the item, your approval, the commitment made and any amount recoverable from the provider. This section does not create an exception to section 3's full refund before setup or development starts, or to the full refund of prepaid management before Go-live.
A recoverable cost should not be represented as irrecoverable. We will take account of refunds or credits actually available for the item and explain how they affect the reconciliation. Third-party terms do not override mandatory rights that apply to Home2bit's own service.
9. Defective or undelivered services
Please report functionality that does not meet the agreed scope or a service that has not been delivered, with sufficient details for review. We will assess the issue against the agreement and discuss appropriate correction, completion or financial redress under applicable law.
Demo approval does not waive mandatory remedies. A request to fix agreed functionality is distinct from an additional feature request and does not consume the minor-change allowance under Business Managed or Managed Plus. Correction of defects in agreed functionality is also included in Website Essential. You are not required by this policy to accept endless repair attempts or surrender a remedy that the law provides.
10. How to request cancellation or a refund
Contact HOME2BIT IT SOLUTIONS INC. by Phone / SMS / Viber: +63 927 743 4946 (Philippines local number: 0927 743 4946). State that you are requesting cancellation or a refund and provide:
- Your name and the business or project concerned.
- The request, quotation or service-order reference, if available.
- The payment you want reviewed and a payment reference, without card credentials or unnecessary financial information.
- The reason for the request and the outcome you seek.
We may verify your authority before disclosing project information or changing a service. We will confirm the request, seek any necessary clarification and explain the assessment, including completed work, proposed deductions and any balance. Please retain this record. Any approved refund requires confirmation of the amount and an appropriate payment destination; do not send passwords or full card details through a general message.
If you disagree, identify the disputed items and any supporting information so that the assessment can be reviewed. This process does not prevent you from using applicable legal or regulatory remedies. We will explain the expected processing steps and any relevant payment-provider requirements when communicating the outcome.
11. Service access and data at conclusion
Cancellation, service suspension, a refund decision and data deletion are separate matters. Please tell us about required data return when discussing service conclusion. Data handling follows the applicable agreement, Privacy Policy and law, and a payment dispute does not remove statutory personal-data rights.
Customer operational data is retained for a 90-day recovery/export window from effective service termination, not temporary suspension. Export requests are allowed throughout that window: standard export support applies in the initial 30 days, and requests concerning retained data remain available during days 31–90. Data necessary to fulfil an authorized request received within the window is retained until fulfilment, including a request on day 89.
Restoration or reactivation within 90 days is possible where the required data is available and restoration is technically feasible; it is not automatic or guaranteed. After the window, deletion is subject to pending export requests, legal obligations and other valid preservation exceptions. Financial, audit, consent and other personal-data records are retained separately according to their lawful purposes. This does not promise fully automatic backups, restoration or deletion.
A customer-data export is different from transfer of Home2bit's source code or restoration of an operating environment. Any additional migration or reconstruction work must be identified and agreed separately. A refund review does not authorize automatic recurring charges or a new service order.
